Record a consultation
A consultation in DocNote is a recorded encounter plus any context you attach. DocNote transcribes the audio and drafts a structured report from your template.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Sign in on iOS, Android, or the web app
- Allow microphone access
- Pick the report template that matches the encounter (consultation note, discharge letter, operative report, and so on)
Record
Section titled “Record”- Open the Record tab
- Select a template
- Tap the record button and speak as you would during the encounter
- Pause if you need to, then stop when you are done
- Optionally add context: prior letters, labs, photos, or a short written note

DocNote drafts the report from the transcript and attachments. Review it before you export or send it to an EHR.
