Attachments and context
Attach prior documents, photos, or a written note so the draft includes more than the live conversation.
What you can add
Section titled “What you can add”- Images — wounds, lesions, ECG captures, radiology screenshots
- Files — PDF, DOCX, or ODT letters, labs, and prior reports
- Notes — free-text context you type or paste
Unsupported file types are marked failed and are not sent for OCR. See What file types can I attach?.
When to attach
Section titled “When to attach”- Before recording, from the Record tab
- After recording, from Add context on the report
- On the web app, by dragging files onto the report
Images and documents are read (OCR) before generation. Wait until their status is ready if you want them included in the next draft.
Patient file
Section titled “Patient file”Some workflows keep a shared patient file across encounters (for example a collaborative day-hospital stay). Each caregiver can add audio or attachments to the same file; DocNote merges the contributions into one record.
